Top 5 ACTIVE C/A Websites/Comms
Jan. 14th, 2007 05:17 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
This is my last one, I promise!
So sadly, it is getting harder and harder to find centralized places for this pairing. Even harder to find active ones. What can I say, I love C/A and from the look of the tags (only 9?!), they could use one last PIMP! LOL

Five Places You Have To Visit from 2006
Just Rewards – An archive of truly outstanding stories. All stories are either winners at the Fang Fetish Awards or by an author who has won for more then three different stories. The archive allows all pairings and all types of fic, so there is a wonderful selection of reading divided by type of fic, pairing, or awards won. Plus all reviewers are entered into a monthly contest for fic and icons! The community for both groups can be joined here

Top 5 New LJ Communities
Jan. 12th, 2007 01:58 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Although many communities had another great year, I wanted to focus on a few new ones whose forums give writers a better chance to write (and get readers).
1.
random_urges This was a new community in 2006 that was set up for rare pairings in the verse. Although I don’t write fic I know that writers who write a variety of pairings often have to look around to find communities for their fic, especially if it doesn’t include one of the major characters. So a community for all those seldom seen pairings seemed like a great idea.

My top five seasonal communities.
Jan. 10th, 2007 03:10 am![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
I think in the past two years I have taken part in just about every single seasonal community there is. This is a very personal list in sense of overall enjoyment with a community. Communities where there is cross-pollination and exposure and exchange between members who freely comment on one another's work, mods who try to comment on most or all of the work in their communities--these are the things that can make a community have a special feel for me. In 2007, I'm cutting back on the time I have to give to seasonal communities, but all of these would make my list for those reasons. In short, some communities really party.

Ok, so we all know about
buffy_icons and
buffyicons and
buffy_graphics right? Places people go to post their artwork, to share it with the lj community. They're awesome.
But this year there were a couple of comms created that were more than just a forum for shared work. ( And they have a special place in my heart because of that... )

Top 5 Multimedia Communities
Jan. 5th, 2007 08:25 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
When the seasonal and special project communities became a trend in the Buffyverse fandom one of the great pluses was that they served as an inspiration for the creation of all sorts of material on a theme, character or pairing. This not only meant a single site for all varieties of media but they also encouraged people to create new types of work for which there were no communities. Here are some of these communities, returning and new, for 2006.
1.
fall_for_sx had another good year, and is now one of the longer running seasonal communities, showing that S/X work is still going strong.

Five Communities that Create Themed-Fic
Oct. 30th, 2006 02:52 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
These five communities have all created repeated great collections of fic centered around a particular theme. Some are not currently active, while others are spouting stuff out quite regularly.
femslash_minis - community that does monthly mini-ficathons centered around a female character from BtVS or AtS (or Firefly on occasion), always slash oriented

Some specific, some general, but the ones I have really enjoyed. Quite a few of my other favourite comms have been recced before, either in other posts or surreptitiously by myself. Hopefully these are some new to you ones!

The Community List

New communities pop up daily in the Buffyverse, but some slip by unnoticed, or newbies don't know about the variety of ongoing communities in this corner of LJ. With this post we are inviting all moderators of Buffyverse communities to post a comment here which includes a link to your community and a few lines describing the community's purpose.
Comments can be made here at any time so that as new communities appear, or as the word gets out, they are welcome to list themselves here. And for anyone who's been looking for a community to fill a particular interest, browse through this post and see if there's something here that fits the bill!
If your have questions about the Community List, please post them here as this space should be just for the community listings. Thanks!

Okay....there is just soooo much good fiction out there (old and new) but to narrow it to my top 5 I had to choose the ones that I just keep going back to again and again. These are in my favorites and will remain there, probably forever. Every story is a gem on most of them and all are well worth rereading (many I've printed off and "illustrated" in notebooks to make sure I will always be able to reread them).
Before I list my top 5, I want to first recommend: http://www.allaboutspike.com/ I won't count it though as it is an archive that is no longer updating although the stories already archived remain for your enjoyment. This a one very rich resource indeed.

astridv - All – My favorite piece of artwork this year. Just wow. Enjoyable story, great drawings, just such a wonderful thing to come across. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re missing out.
