It's a lovely AU romp in which Sheriff Malcolm Reynolds and his team have to deal with a sudden incursion of the supernatural. Fortunately they have a little help from a familiar Buffyverse character...

Fray is an amazing limited run series that I highly recommend you pick up. It takes place about a 1000 years after Buffy and Angel end, and there's some truly kick ass world building/continuation going on here. It's a little bleaker than Buffy, and the stories here reflect that. I'm not sure how well you'll be able to follow what's going on here with out having read the stories, so I strongly recommend reading the source material first.
