Some favorite horror fics

debchan (Ensemble, NC-17) Buffy dies during "Prophecy Girl". Permanently. And though Willow still manages to close the Hellmouth, it's not such a good news...
Thing that I love the most about this extremely dark story is that it doesn't use the obvious way to bring hell to Sunnydale (that would be Master rising). It choses more subtle path, based on character's natural urges, flaws and insecurities - and that's much more scary.

5 Rare-Pair Fics

snickficYay, rare pairs. The watchwords here seem to be "sweet and functional," which is generally my favorite kind of ship, even/especially when functionality doesn't seem too likely for the pairing involved.
1. The Five Worst Things About Dating Andrew Wells (part 1 and part 2), bydeird1

Technically a WIP, I suppose, these are the first two parts of Dawn's cautious quest to win for herself one Andrew Wells, and they're pretty much adorable. I just don't ship Andrew generally, but Deird totally sells me on this scenario.

Yet, though the choices are diverse, it just proves that, even as the activity in the fandom wanes, hotness still comes in many forms in the BtVS/AtS 'verse.

Top 5 C/A WIPs (updated recently)

I figured that since we have had a lot of Spuffy recs and a lot of slash recs, I might toss in some recs for my particular pairing fave. :) Most of these come from the Stranger Things message board, which is a great place for C/A fans anyway.
I think the biggest problem with WIPs is if the author will ever finish them. So I picked some that had been updated recently and that the author seems really committed to finishing. And even that was hard to narrow it down to five because there are so many great ones!

Angel here is amazing, so many layers, so much darkness. Twisted snapshot of the relationship between Angel and Xander. Probably the first Xander/Angel fic that made me accept this ship. This fic is divided into three parts: For Giving (Angel's POV) Moment (Xander's POV) Limits (Changes from Xander and Angel's POVs) Limits is my favorite part, so much emotion, so much darkness, so much angst mixed with Xander's innocent, playful character.
