Top Five Classical Fics Minus Spander:

1- Giving by Benaresq

Angel here is amazing, so many layers, so much darkness. Twisted snapshot of the relationship between Angel and Xander. Probably the first Xander/Angel fic that made me accept this ship. This fic is divided into three parts: For Giving (Angel's POV) Moment (Xander's POV) Limits (Changes from Xander and Angel's POVs) Limits is my favorite part, so much emotion, so much darkness, so much angst mixed with Xander's innocent, playful character.

2- Rising From Our Dust by mahaliem

Alternative 12-part Season 7 in script format. I remember how I used to wish season 7 turned this way. This is the first Spuffy fic I had ever read and I'm still attached to it. Buffy/Spike, Xander/Willow and Giles/Anya.

3- Hush, Cordelia by sabershadowkat

Saber ShadowKitten does the high school atmosphere like no one can, I LOVE how she wrote everyone. I love how it feels like a monster of the week fic. And of course, how the Xander/Cordelia banter can hurt their feelings more than they think. Also the Scoobies' attitude towards the Xander/Cordelia relationship is PEFECT.

4- The Existence Series by Laure Alexander

This is the fic that introduced me to the ugliness of a Xander/Angelus relationship. Extremely dark and filthy, no one under the age of 18 reads this. Trust me, you can never handle it. This is a Xander used by Angelus to hurt Buffy, very damaged and lifeless. After giving up on life, Xander turns himself to Angelus to do whatever he wants with him.

5- Nexus by rakshathewolf

The first Xander/Angelus fic where Angelus actually falls in love with Xander. I love Xander's stubborn personality here, love Angelus' struggle, and most of all I love Chip!!!
