The one I posted with is from Get it Done, remember when Xander pulled Willow out of the circle? He held her to his chest, and when Buffy came back, we see her looking at everybody in the room from Anya to Dawn to Kennedy to Spike and finally to Xander who was still holding Willow to his chest. Aww. S7 has these small bits in it, and I'm certain it's just Nick and Aly who kept themselves in the hug to show the fans that Willow and Xander are still close rather than the writers telling them to do so.

So true about those little moments meaning a lot. I remember there was one between Spike and Xander in "Wild Things" that I'm sure was unnoticeable to most as it was nearly edited out, but I always liked seeing it.

It's when they're all hurrying to escape the house and Xander puts his hand on Spike's back to hurry him out the door as he turns back to call for Buffy a last time. It's really brief but Xander showed concern for Spike's safety on other occasions as well so we takes what we can get ;>

I've always thought Xander was quite nice to Spike in S4 and S5, perhaps even the beginning of S6. I guess the fact that his life went downhill after Hell's Bells, he took his frustrations out on Spike. During S7, I can say that Xander and Spike had come to an understanding. I can never buy a fic Post-Chosen or Post-First Half of S7 with Xander being hostile to Spike, because Xander had changed a lot, and of all the Scoobies, he was the only one who seemed to accept Spike and trust Buffy's judgment when it came to him
