spuffy_luvr. Buffy/Spike, Teen and up. A wonderful long, plotty fic, featuring an amnesiac post-Chosen Buffy and her friends', and Dawn's, attempts to help and restore her. Lots of angst ensues.

Darla goes on safari! I love the portrayal of Darla here, that she will dare the hazardous African sun for the sheer experience of the thing. The writing is gorgeous, the whole thing is suffused with sunshine, the setting is beautifully evoked (and we all know how I am about setting). This fic reminds me anew just how much I love Darla.

Gift by Bisclaveret (gen, ensemble) - Because... is there a more perfect song for the buffyverse? I don't think so.

Howl by Shoopdancer (Angel/Darla) - Ah, Florence and the Machine! Another perfect, powerful song choice.

The Fiddle and the Drum by Gwendolyn's flight (gen, Wesley-centric) - Ah, Wesley... So moving and perfect...

Fragments by E^y (gen, Wesley and Illyria centric) - A perfect gem. 00:22 always stoles my breath away.

I'm going to post a bunch of top 5 shareable layouts lists, 'cos I love graphics and I made 120 layouts myself (mostly BtVS/AtS). So, I know how much work a layout maker puts into those pretties and I decided to list the ones who paid a homage to the fandom this year.

There are a lot of layouts featuring actors/actresses from the fandom, but I will list just the "character-oriented" ones. It makes my listing job easier ;-).
