Buffyverse vampires are interesting in any era, don't you think? They've been all over the world, and had loads of adventures. Below are just a few of the things written about them in 2012:

Vampyre! by il_mio_capitano (Giles, Spike, Buffy) PG13 — 4 chapters, complete
The Watcher’s Council turns Giles into a vampire in a misguided effort to get Buffy to do its bidding. Spike reluctantly ends up with the fledge-sitting duties, and the surprises just keep coming.
