A theory and four fics

Interesting theory about why Miss Kitty is written off with little explanation (although she in season five at least once, something the author failed to notice). I find the idea creative and oddly possible, minus her appearance in Family.

Vampire plague is about to, er, plague Sunnydale, and the Scoobies are on the case -- as are the Korean Slayer of 1933 and her gumshoe sidekick Sid. Excellent character voices, but what I love most about this fic are Sid and Cho, whom I'd happily read whole fics about. Barbara Stanwyck glamour and the Slayer burden, plus Sid "cracking wise": what's not to like?

What if The Council had caught the members of The Fanged Four and kept them as prisoners and sparring partners for future slayers?
There definitely are some elements of Hogwarts template in the set-up, but the story itself is fresh and original. This unique AU-verse is based on the premise that in the middle of XX century The Watcher Council and The Initiative joined forces, and one of the consequences was the modernization of the Slayer system. As a result, we see all the familiar faces in the new circumstances. Complex, inventive plotting, spot-on voices, fast-moving narrative, paradoxical morality and fascinating choices make "The Rose" a must-read.
