Or at least, groups of two or more people ready to embark on plot. Mostly ensemble, mostly fics in which things happen. :)

S5 - Scoobies, almost-OCs
Vampire plague is about to, er, plague Sunnydale, and the Scoobies are on the case -- as are the Korean Slayer of 1933 and her gumshoe sidekick Sid. Excellent character voices, but what I love most about this fic are Sid and Cho, whom I'd happily read whole fics about. Barbara Stanwyck glamour and the Slayer burden, plus Sid "cracking wise": what's not to like?
2. Taking Care of Business, by
brutti_ma_buoni
post-NFA - Faith, Wesley, Illyria
After it all, Faith comes to clean up some loose ends at W&H, specifically Wesley, who appears to be alive when he's supposed to be dead. Some great lines, some lovely character interaction, a beheading or two, a conclusion that fits perfectly even when you wish it didn't.
3. Dungeons and Dragons, by
daiseechain
post-Chosen; Andrew, Buffy, a dragon
Andrew accidentally summons a dragon. This makes him the dungeon master, of course, although likely most dungeon masters would prefer dragons with names other than Randolph. Now he, Buffy, and everyone else has to figure what this means. What sounds like total crack is actually some very nice, serious Andrew character development. And also there's Randolph, who's fun all on his own.
4. Hot Rocks, by
ljs
AU S7
Giles and Spike are off looking for a stone to help defeat the First. Lori's beloved Giles/Anya is here peeking in around the corners, but primarily this is about Giles and Spike hunting a magic rock and coming marginally closer to an understanding. Beautifully characterized, both in the banter and the almost-poignant moments.
5. ...Or Give Me Death, by
deird1
Wishverse
Five snapshots of people surviving - or not - in the Wishverse. I always love it when Deird tackles minor characters, and these are no exception. There's some true heroism here, and not just the stake-the-vampire kind.
