My Five Favourite Giles/Xander Fics

Here’s my five favourite Giles/Xander fics by authors who consistently impress me with their grasp of Xander’s character (they write him with humour!), plus they totally get that Giles isn’t just some stuffy old guy!

1. savoytruffle - You Can Be a Winner at The Game of Life, Mature. Early early Season 4. Giles is in trouble, Xander is weak, Giles is silly, Xander is smart. This is a funny story with an undercurrent of seriousness (and backstory) that just propels you along. savoytruffle is the master of narrative flow and it shows in this fic, plus her Xander and Giles voices are top notch. This is the kind of story that reminds me how very talented a writer she is.
