I loved these stories, but I’m having trouble finding a unifying theme. Some are funny, though not always. They are gen-ish, but not entirely. They kinda, sorta explore art, poetry, and literature, but that’s not the main thrust behind them. What they all are is worth reading!

We had some excellent long fics in 2012, because our fandom is full of talented people. Many of those fics have been mentioned on other lists. Here are some for which I am (patiently) awaiting updates.

Safeverse by shapinglight (Spike/Giles with plot) NC17
A Season 7 Giles juggles a chipped/souled/triggered Spike, a secretive and hostile Council, and the Potential Slayers who depend on him. It’s even harder when The First keeps popping up wearing the face of his allies. 8 chapters posted.

Our 2012 session has now ended. Thanks to everyone who contributed posts this session, as well as to everyone who supported the posters in comments!

Just a reminder that Top 5 is also available year round for searching through tags and Memories. While the Memories feature is not available on Dreamwidth, the DW site does provide a few other searching advantages:

1) The entire community is searchable (use the search box in the top left side).
2) The ability to open all cut-tags showing in the journal view with one click for easier browsing (check the arrows under the search box).
