Fray is an amazing limited run series that I highly recommend you pick up. It takes place about a 1000 years after Buffy and Angel end, and there's some truly kick ass world building/continuation going on here. It's a little bleaker than Buffy, and the stories here reflect that. I'm not sure how well you'll be able to follow what's going on here with out having read the stories, so I strongly recommend reading the source material first.
1.Tell It Slant by Yhlee
Rating: some light violence, over all a PG.
this piece is like reading a poem, the words are beautiful in and of themselves, before you even get to the story. Could be considered a slight crossover with main Buffy verse.
2.Nice Coat...Where'd You Get It? by Lycanfae
Rating: violence and death, PG13
Another story that could be considered a crossover with the main Buffy verse. Nice expansion of the slang terms of the series, and a surprise ending
3.The Death of Melaka Fray By Foxfic
Rating: very light R? mostly for violence and gore, and possible death.
Personally I don't ascribe to existentialist thinking, but it's done well here. It's very believable for the character, and given her situation.
4.Stories Darkness Tell You by Thuvia Ptarth
Rating: R, for violence, sexuality, death and implied incest
I think this captures the duality and the darkness between Harth and Fray exceptionally well
5.Family Matters by Holli michele
Rating: PG, light violence.
The ending is really what sold this story for me. A Whedon-esque tragedy
