I enjoy writing meta, but even more, I enjoy reading it. Here are five of my favorites from the past year, in no particular order:
1. There Goes My Hero... by
femmenerd
Femmenerd articulates her love for Buffy Summers, both personally and politically.
2. Whither Cordelia?, by
selenak
Selena takes on the tricky issue of Cordelia's characterization in the latter seasons of Angel.
3. Buffy Goes to Work, by
aycheb
Slaying is women's work.
4. Dream a Little Dream: Buffy's Dream in Restless, by
superplin
As the title says, Buffy's dream in "Restless" and what it meant.
5. Metaphors in S6, by
elisi
Elisi wrote a number of great Buffy essays in the past year, and this is one of the best.
