Five top holiday stories for 2006

buffyversetop5There is no way I can fit in all the wonderful works I've seen this year, but here are a few.

shapinglight writes a story with an obscene-mouthed Spike as he gets into a tussle with evil Santa. Poor Spike still thinks he has to protect Dawn from the realities of life, but of course that isn't the case. This is laugh-out-loud fic: The Night Before Christmas.
2.apreludetoanend writes a delightful and sly pre-slash bit of spander (and even if you don't care for spander, read it, it's very well-crafted and poignant and her Spike voice is wonderful) with You Missed Christmas.
3.electricalgwen offers five Spike drabbles on past Christmases. Extremely enjoyable! Five Christmases Spike'll Never Forget.
4.spikesfool does a bit of fun fantasy spangel with The Woodcutter, the Witch, and the Enchanted Prince.
5.vikingprincess offers an interesting and hot take on spawn with her still on going fic Snowbound. Full of delicious twists on character and some fun debates about literature (and yes, hot spawn, of course.)
