Top 5 Angel/Cordy Vids (Canon & AU)

buffyversetop5I was going to hold off on these, but tomorrow's Halloween, so who knows what'll happen? So in a blatant attempt to manipulate the Top 5 rule, I give you the top 5 Angel/Cordy vids - first Canon, then AU.
Top Five Angel/Cordy Vids (Canon)
1. Broken Wings by Adam – Their friendship, love and all those lost chances, combined with the absolute best editing and effects I’ve ever seen. I cannot watch this one without crying.
2. Chasing Cars by Cec and Kaycee – All – There really are no words for the perfection of this vid. One of my favorite songs, with spectacular editing and effects (I especially love the one where Cordy disappears from the shot of her and Angel sitting on the desk), and such a perfect reflection on Angel’s thoughts. Love. It.
3. Collide by Sadique – All – This video could just as well be called “The Best Of Angel and Cordy” because that’s exactly what it is. It’s the kind of video I show to people to say, ‘see this? This is what I saw in them.’
4. We Belong Together by Cat – All – This is a touching,well-made video from beginning to end, but it’s those last twenty seconds or so that earned it a spot in my top five. Bring the tissues.
5. Right Here Waiting by Girlpire – All – A melodious, intimate look at Cordy and Angel; in a way, it feels like the big movie love scene, complete with soft lighting and mood music. So romantic.
Top Five Angel/Cordy Vids (AU)
1. Hazard by Sweetie – All – This is just…perfect. A ‘vid manip,’ combination of the original music video with Angel footage, it’s heartbreaking in every possible way.
2. Leaving Town by Sweetie – All – Yes, another one by Sweetie. Brilliant, bittersweet AU that acts both as a shippy video and as a Cordy character study.
3. Here With Me by LadyD – All – Stalker Angel is both creepy and sexy, and this vid makes the most of it by making Cordy the subject of his latest obsession.
4. Holiday in Spain by Girlpire – All – I seriously could not love the concept of this video more. Cordy’s not dead, she just moved to Europe. Sure, why not? Hee. It’s a silly, light-hearted, wish-fulfillment vid. Oh, warning: there is some anti-B/A sentiment.

angdelia – All – It’s a rather common gimmick in C/A fanfic to put them together after “Lover’s Walk.” This is the only video I’ve seen that monopolizes on that concept. With deceptively simple editing, Angdelia focuses instead on storytelling. And the ending is classic.
