Warren Mears is a very underused character in fanfiction, I think. He had a lot of potential and he was such a dark character without completely losing that human edge.
Here's my list of Top 5 Warren Mears Fictions
1. Fucking in the Dark by Moonloon
Rated NC-17 this strange little vignette showcases just how dark Warren/Andrew could be behind the scenes. It's the epitomy of how dark Warren could be and how manipulative and just how much potential for Scary Supervillain he really had.
2. Numbers by Anna
Rated PG-13 this is another pseudo-slash setting with a Warren/Andrew bent to it that just leaves you thinking about how Warren's brain might have worked. Considering he was basically a genius. An evil genius, but still.
3. Five Things Which Never Happened to Warren by Selena
Rated PG-13 this one reminds me of just how fabulous the Five Things fiction craze really got back in the day. It's a lot of looks at Warren with everyone from Andrew (classic) to Willow to even Maggie Walsh. It's a really neat look at what-might-have-been-but-never-was.
4. Escape by Moonloon
Rated PG-13, Warren/Ethan of all pairings, and yes, it's another Moonloon piece because her portrayal is just so spot-on with Warren. This is a comedic take on Ethan, Warren, and The Initiative. The ending is killer too.
5. Murder 101 by Immicolia
Rated R this is a character study on how Warren might have evolved the killer instinct since he's so predisposed to ambivalence towards just everything in general. It's really well done.
BONUS POINTS
Just for sheer nerve in the pairing choice, I'm pointing out Like God Made Adam by Girl With Journal because seriously? Drusilla/Warren? That deserves an honorable mention. It's more of a Drusilla piece than anything though. Drusilla's character voice is very good in this piece. I'd read it just for the premise even if it doesn't actually bring out Warren so much.
