Top 5 Humor Fics

Oddly enough as much humor as many stories have I realized I hadn’t actually read that many outright humor pieces this past year. Many stories, while funny, are essentially about something else. So here’s what I ended up with.

(1) The Circus is Coming! by spikendru - Teen – Because sheer silliness has to be celebrated too.



(2) The One in the Cave by eliade - Mature – Because (a) It’s rare to see PWP done with such a lot of humor, and I love to see it (b) It’s shameless fantasy fic and yet so amusing you forget what it is (c) It looks like this may be some of the last S/X we ever get to see from her and that thought makes me mournful.

(3) The One in the Library by witling - Mature – Did I say humorous PWP was rare? Two in one year, and both S/X. Joy, joy, joy.

(4) The Price of Fame (starring SPIKE!) - by redsrule1 - All – A ship-free zone, Spike, Gunn and Lorne cross a brave frontier on a mission which becomes a little disorienting. I was a beta on this, and have included it if for no other reason than I find the scene with the photos hilarious.

(5) Bloody Odin - by tabaqui - Teen – Spike, Xander, vikings, and ... a suitcase. Mm-hmm.
