Top 5 Essays – Characters and Relationships

(1) The Whipping Boy (My Take on Xander Harris) - by inlovewithnight - All – I like her take on how Xander can be considered in isolation, unlike all the other main characters. Some nicely argued points about his psychological state through the end of S6.



(2) The Spike and Angel Relationship - by romanyg – An interesting look at how Spike and Angel came to be by AtS S5, well argued with good examples, and some pretty convincing conclusions.

(3) Not the Sharpest Pencil in the Box - by peasant_ Given how often I’ve seen this issue touched on in fanfic I found it quite interesting to see someone take a look at what evidence there really was regarding William’s likely education. It also seems to me a good example of how many essays are not just thought provoking but can also serve as a helpful resource to ficwriters.
