Yay! I am so glad this has started!
If you don’t know, podcasts are basically radio shows that anyone can put together. This is a collection of my top 5 Buffy related podcasts. You can find and subscribe to any of these through iTunes (just search for the podcast name in the music store), or you can go to their websites and get more information on how to listen.
1. The Buffycast: http://buffycast.com/ This is an amazing podcast that explores several different aspects of the show. Each episode focuses on a particular topic and explores several things about it. Examples include Spike’s love life, Tara and Willow as a couple, if Buffy was wrong to give all the potentials Slayer powers, and even who does bad deeds and gets away with it. Well done and very thought provoking.
2. The Whedoncast: http://www.thegeekpalace.com/ This is a podcast that covers all of the works of Mr. Whedon, but there are several fascinating episodes that deal directly with BtVS. Some of the episodes are straight reviews, but others cover things like the relationships within BtVS, redemption, and even a Buffyverse timeline. These two are a lot of fun and a total laugh riot.
3. KSLA: http://radiofreesunnydale.com/podcast/podcast.html This is a podcast similar to the Buffycast but instead of examining the show itself, this one tends to look more at the relationship between the show and the rest of the world. It is very entertaining but can be dry at times. A lot of terminology and jargon is used in this one.
4. Cool Refreshing Zima: http://coolrefreshingzima.blogspot.com/ This is the podcast that comes directly from the key demographic for BtVS. Three young girls talk about the show and their love for it. Mostly a review by season.
5. Undead America: http://www.undeadamerica.blogspot.com/ This podcast covers all things Whedon, but there is a lot of discussion about the Buffyverse, including the occasional episode review, a recount of any recent Buffy-related toys, and a general discussion of anything Buffy related. Plus, Spike-kus!
