Okay, since I couldn't narrow my Spuffy list down to less than 10, and half of them were Season 6, it gets a separate category here. All of these fics are archived at The Bloodshedverse.

Summary: Goes AU immediately after Spike leaves the bathroom in Seeing Red. After nearly committing an unspeakable crime against the woman he loves, Spike faces the ordeal of his unlife when Robot-Boy Warren discovers what his chip does and how to control it. Will Buffy be able to help him? Will she even *want* to? A/N: This story was inspired by two great fics which used the same idea, “Chain” by irfikos, and “Leashing the Beast” by Nos. This idea has been done many times, I know, but I’ve had my own ideas about it for some time and thought I’d give it a try. WARNING: Very very dark pretty much throughout the story. Involves torture, non-con m/m slash (not graphic, mostly implied), very disturbing. Spike is very badly victimized in this story. Will be Spike/Buffy pairing eventually, but will take a little while to get there.
Why I Chose This: This story is like a drug. It sucks you in and won't let you break free. Parts are a little difficult to read, and I would certainly classify it as DARK. Lots of twists and turns in the plot, and is usually updated daily, so the cliffies aren't quite as killer. Why are you still reading this? Go, read it, now.

Summary: Set in Season Six in the first moments of Tabula Rasa then spins off into a very different world! What would happen if Teeth and his goons had actually 'dealt' with Spike? How would it effect Buffy and Sunnydale if our favorite Vamp was taken out of the equation? ANGST ANGST ANGST be warned!
Why I Chose This: It is another original plot that I had never seen before I read it. The author does such an amazing job of characterization here, and of making emotions shine through. Grab tissues before you read!

Summary: Rewrite of Season 6--A very different Buffy returns from the afterlife, and things are going to get really interesting.... Based on the Pink Floyd song "Learning To Fly"
Why I Chose This: It helps that I love the song it is based off of. It also helps that I love everything I've ever read by the author. I also love the originality of the plot, and the passion of her characterizations.

Summary: Set after OMWF, Buffy is at a loss and Spike may be the only one who can help her. A dark angst fic dealing with some extremes of mental and psychological problems, littered with Spuffy.
Why I Chose This: What can I say, I like angst. And this fic certainly delivers. It also reminds the reader that Buffy is indeed human, and vulnerable to the same psychological problems as anyone else.

Summary: Willow does a spell that brings an older (Post Chosen) Buffy back into the body of recently back from the dead Buffy. Set directly after Once More With Feeling.
Why I Chose This: It's funny! This is a feel good fic that kept me smiling from start to finish. Awesome plotline, and great characterizations.
