I thought I'd take a shot at fulfilling some Wish List requests. Don't know if these fit the bill but they're certainly worth the read.

(1) Connor!
I recced AtS No Limits back on Day 1 which contains quite a bit of Connor. However I also like this look at him very much.

Second Hand by [livejournal.com profile] kita0610 - R – Post-NFA, Spike has a final duty to perform, and it’s not unlike when he was last left behind. Just loved the rhythm of this whole thing, the look at Spike and Connor, where does each go from here. This is a pair I want to read more about because the few bits I have read are so good. It does contain a slash scene and I don’t know if that really fits the request but I think it’s an interesting look at the two.

(2) Angel and Joyce

Somewhere Down the Road - by [livejournal.com profile] crazydiamondsue - PG – This is an Angel and Joyce fic that supposes an interesting (and possibly only vaguely remembered) first meeting between these two. I loved the look at the young Joyce and thought the various details painted an amusingly good picture of the times.

(3)Innovative fiction

Recced the Spike comic a bit ago too, and I’m not too sure what qualifies for this but I have yet to see anyone rec tag fic. One of the ones I quite liked which had a few additions to it earlier this year is
Letters by [livejournal.com profile] up_your_peach and [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777 -- All
Xander writes a letter to the dead but now resurrected Spike for closure. Imagine his surprise when he gets an answer. This is a WIP and may even be an abandoned WIP but it's an enjoyable story.

(4) I don’t think anyone requested Dawn specifically but there was non-slash, non-shipper fic requested and the last item made me think of this one, which I quite liked.
Dear Departed - by [livejournal.com profile] annapurna_2 - PG-13 – Similar idea. As the summary states “Buffy's not the only one with issues. Sometimes closure comes in unexpected ways.”

(5) Poetry

I’m afraid I don’t recall seeing any poetry this year unfortunately. I'm really curious to see if anyone else will be able to put together a rec.
ETA - Knew someone else would think of something (thanks [livejournal.com profile] petzipellepingo!) 2005 poetry recs can be seen below.
