Happy Ace Week, folks!
Asexual!Oz in "You're Too Picky, Man": An Ace Reading of Oz's Character Arc in BTVS by Coyote (osteophage)
This is really well thought out, and I can't believe I missed this reading until Coyote spelled it out for me in an essay. Honestly, there's no going back for me--the way I see Oz is changed forever.
Asexual!Andrew in the first and third story of the Dawn in Cambridge series by Quinara
Not the obvious way to interpret Andrew, but I remember that first story often, and it fills me with endless glee each time (what IF there was only one bed?!). And the final story of the series is interestingly nuanced and feels all too real.
Asexual!Ethan in The Taste of Purple by Quinara
What can I say, this is clever and interesting, and I'm glad it exists! It takes some effort to read BtVS magic as not a metaphor for gay sex, but the result is fun.
Asexual!Cordelia in Alone in a Crowded Room by InsaneTrollLogic
There are several works that interpret Cordy this way, but this story was what made me see the appeal.
Aromantic!Anya in no heart to break, so shed no tear by eagle_eyes
It's the second story in a series, but I think it stands alone very well.
I enjoyed the ways Anya's complex relationship to the concept of love interacted with her ex-demon issues, and the ending made me happy! :)
