Thought I'd list my top five favorite fic's which feature Spike in some way and made a big impact on me at the time.

1)Deja Vu by

Liam O'Connor is a psychotherapist with a disturbing, and disturbingly familiar, new client.A brilliant take on the whole Spike Angel in AU malarky. Beautifully written and very dark.

*ETA* This replaced my first choice of Vampire Winter as I realised after I'd posted that it was written early this year. *sigh*

2)Five things the chip was never marketed for. by

empty_mirrors (hard R)

Based on the five things challenge, this story assumes that Spike was recaptured during The Initiative and offers five possible futures for him. All events after that episode happened as we saw it on screen, only without Spike’s presence. A deaply disturbing peice indeed. Scarly dark!

3)Doll by Chris Gerry Durrill (PG-13)

A very sad ficlet once again with the theme of what might have happened to poor Spike/demonkind If Maggie Walsh's technology had been allowed to develop. Lord this made emotional reading!

4)The Pandoraverse series By

One of the first ever Spander fic's that I read when joining lj. It's a wonderful series (eight chapters in all), with the Characters of Spike and Xander being beautifully drawn, and full of the 'little touches' that she does so well in her work. Gorgeously eroic as well.

One of the first AU fic's that I ever read. It's hard to describe this one as it's a very beautifully exrotic tale set in world where vampires are enslaved to human masters and used as gladiators or playmates.
