Again, I'm mostly sure these people posted their first Buffyverse work this year, though it might not be the work I'm linking. This set has a lot of Willow and magic, and character studies that I thought were goshdarn excellent.
• A Conversation by hereforthegay (Willow & Andrew, G, 659 w)
Willow and Andrew have a conversation in season 7. I am, like the author, not only here for the gay, but also for the other things they have in common and Andrew's tonal range of nearly simultaneous dorkiness and angst.
• Carry That Weight by mybitca (Buffy & Willow, G, 2028 w)
Missing scene based on the season 6 promo clips. This felt so real, I felt like I got to have more canon. ^^
• Goddess of Crossroads (Willow, Tara, G, 441 w) by reconditarmonia
The difference between Wiccans who were brought up Christian and Wiccans who were brought up Jewish. The whole Purimgifts series is interesting.
• participation medals of the heart. by sevensevan (Jenny & Willow, Jenny/Giles, Jenny & Xander, Jenny & Tara, T, 10,494 w)
Willow accidentally resurrects Jenny instead of Buffy. Jenny was incredibly Jennylike for a character who struggled with her identity the whole story long, and her interaction with an older Willow was especially fascinating (though the Calendiles was very sweet too).
• This Year's Enemies by AliceLost (Faith/Buffy, Faith & the Mayor, Faith & various scoobies, T, WIP! 15,317 w as of October 17th)
Faith swaps bodies with Buffy at the end of "Enemies". First of all, it's a fun ride plotwise (who will notice she's not Buffy?!), but I also loved all the insight into Faith. Special mention for a likable Angel in a story where the main ship is not Bangel. <3
