Time for your 2018 recs! And don't forget there are more recs being shared on Dreamwidth that you can browse. Here are some to kick us off:

Sunrise by iseetheyelloweyed. A Saint Sebastian oriented Buffy and Angel fan art – a pretty fascinating take and the colors seem perfect.

Buffy #3 by timetobegin. It's always difficult to encounter new screencaps in icon sets for older fandoms (even though icon makers are endlessly clever in the way they manipulate them). This one stood out to me exactly because it seemed new, and the sense of movement and emotion in it also made it different.

Animated Spike smoking by sanshodelaine. I think they nailed his expressions!

We Can Slay It by marasatilu. It's not often I see Kendra fanart so I was glad to come across this one.

It is You, It Was Always You by mizzy-tea. My favorite Buffyverse threesome :)

Oh, yes. *g* All very worthy choices, I think! I remember loving "Sunrise" and sanshodelaine's Spike especially.

Animation is something that was always sparse on the ground in Buffyverse fandom, limited largely to animated icons. But we got some recced in our very first session! And I know that it's now become much more common to do so hopefully we'll be seeing more.

These are are wonderful. I especially love Sunrise, and It is You, It Was Always You, but they are all terrific.

Yes, we still see icons posted on LJ and Dreamwidth for probably obvious reasons -- but Tumblr has definitely proved the space for finding a variety of wonderful artwork.
