I tried to avoid rec'ing works that I rec every year but Restfield's Saturday Night vid, music by Bay City Rollers and set during Band Candy, is such a delight that I just can't not share. I adore how it's such a fun vid but then turns poignant in the end. Also, the Mayor turning and leaving on "Gotta Go" just amuses me every time.
And another in the rec it every year is I Belong to You, an unexpected love triangle: Angel, Buffy, and Mr. Gordo (played by Winnie the Pooh's Piglet.) ;-)
Your Color, as appropriate for Halloween, is quite creepy. It has Drusilla looking into Giles' mind, mixing up past, present, and future, and putting a darker interpretation over them all. As always with her videos, the music choice is amazing and the images work really well with the song.
Another dark work is Venus and Mars, and image for glassdarkly's story of the same name. I like how Darla takes the place of the woman in the picture behind her but is it a picture because the man's bloody arm is falling out of the frame. Darla's beautiful but that disinterested expression while staring down at the blood really captures her.
And finally Restfield's banner The Letters (the 84, Charing Cross Road remix) is not only gorgeous but does an amazing job of capturing my story. I particularly adore that she included letter carrying owls. ;-)
