Guardianship by ScienceOfficerWillowRosenberg. This one is pretty light on angst, for a change. It's a post-Gift story where Spike and Tara talk about Dawn. Damn, why we never got their conversation like that in canon?

Bittersweet Symphony (The "Nobody Singing to Me Now" Remix) by sroni. What if after Fred's death Wesley found himself a reason to live?

Steps on a Journey by gillo (or AO3 link). Spike has a long way to travel, and lots to think about. Think, not brood. Definitely. Have you ever wondered how he made his way to Africa?

I like the way Guardianship ran with the idea that Tara sees through Spike and at the same time is more of an outsider than the other Scoobies, able to think about their situation in a more removed way.

Yeah, it's a shame that the show rarely used Tara for that kind of outsider perspective, it works so great for her.
