Five Favorites from the sb_fag_ends Halloween Challenge

The sb_fag_ends Halloween Challenge happens in the last week of October. Participating writers compete to fill the most prompts with short Spuffy stories of 1,000 words or less. It’s actually more complicated, but I can never figure out the rules. The important thing is the results. Whimsical, eclectic and comedic themes expertly written. One of the most fun fandom events of the year. Here are just a few of my favorites:

I noticed this note about 2015 fic:

"Harry Potter’s not the only older fandom going strong despite a lack of recent canon. I thought maybe the high activity level of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was due to an Open Doors import, e.g., but that doesn’t account for most of it. Some fandoms continue to generate interest for a long time."

I'm pretty sure ongoing challenges have a lot to do with that.
