Five Fics Dealing with Consequences

I hated that what happened to Xander in the episode Consequences was never explored properly on the show. So here are five fics dealing with Faith's attempted rape/murder on Xander.


Consequences by sparrow2000: Angel finds Xander in the cemetery after the events of the episode Consequences. Xander's conflicted feelings over what had happened to him are beautifully written, and sparrow2000 goes to show Xander's role in the show as Buffy's damsel in distress. He's representing the stereotype girl role, getting captured, almost getting raped, being saved by Batman (Angel). Not to mention that the evil guy (Faith) is a woman. I'm a sucker for gender reversal, I'm lamenting the great opportunities for fresh and interesting new topics the show could have done with that Xander/Faith incident.

Xander's Eyes by sam_arkand: Xander and Faith talking during S7 - a talk they SHOULD have had- clearing the air and going through some of the issues between them. Amazing writing, very beautiful and powerful use of language.

Dirty Boy by dipenates: Xander feels like he and Faith are on the same page, like they have a connection. What would have gone had the writers not glossed over the issue. Intense and realistic.

Now or Never by lusciousspike: Right after Dirty Girls. Faith owes Xander something that was long overdue. Written as a part of a Missing Scenes series, I just love the voices of the characters here.

Hard Ground by nwhepcat: A while after "Chosen," Xander comes back from Africa and Faith picks him up at the airport. She wants a chance to apologize for things long past between them. Xander doesn't want to deal with the past, but Faith and I do. Excellent Faith voice.
