buffyversetop5 | Five more classic dark fics

I know Gabrielle has already posted a dark fic list, but since it is almost Halloween, I thought we could stand to have another one. Here are five Xander fics that play in the shadows of the Buffy ‘verse. These are all dark and delicious and make me go ‘eeeeeek....’

Red Apple Falls by

_dellamore makes me want to go hide under the bed. Bodies are stacking up all over Sunnydale. The Scoobies think they know who’s responsible, but only Xander knows why. It’s amazing what can happen when love becomes obsession. Make sure you read this with the light on.

Times Like These by Te shouldn’t work. It’s Xander/Caleb, which is enough to make you hide under the bed if you weren’t already there after the last fic. But because Te is brilliant she makes it work and work brilliantly. And after multiple readings over the years it still makes me shiver.

In Headful of Ghosts by

wesleysgirl, the world has gone to hell, and what’s left of the gang is clinging on by their fingernails. Angel’s grip isn’t looking too steady and that’s a bit of a problem for everyone else. This one is bleak and dark in the best possible way if your taste runs to such things, and mine does! *g* Definitely not worksafe.

And if you like Angel nuttier than a bag of chocolate brazils, have a go at The Void, by

thatotherperv. Xander goes to LA to get Angel’s help with Glory, but Angel seems a little off. I remember getting the chance to read early drafts of this story and it’s one that still makes me shiver all these years later. Be warned, there is both non con and dub con in this story, but they are logical in the context of the story. Not worksafe.

And finally, Xander and Willow are best friends and friends will do anything for each other, right...right? The Hollow by Jeanny is short, dark and packs a punch that would put Mike Tyson on the floor.
