It was wonderful but I was sad to learn that I am too late for posting my recs. And I am a little annoyed, too. On the left of this site, it says open for posting in January and October - The. why close it 12 days before January ends?

Hello! Glad you enjoyed the session and great to hear that you were preparing a post!

The space in the "What's the Sitch" box is a little limited but at the start of the session we indicated that we'd close on Jan 19th (http://buffyversetop5.livejournal.com/376923.html) Except for our initial session in 2005, we have not stayed open an entire month because we generally don't have enough posting activity to do so after a few weeks.

Similarly, Classic Recs has always been for only a long weekend over Halloween since it began. So while the sidebar is correct in that we're open during those two months, I can see that it could be misleading about how much of that time we would be open.

What we can do next time around is send out a reminder post that we will be closing in 48 hours so that anyone already working on one can make their posts. But at least now we know one person will have something to post come October :)
