Some last year's WIPs that I enjoyed (and hope to enjoy more).

In a Corner of My Soul by dragonyphoenix (Ensemble, Giles-centric, PG-13). Giles as the Big Bad of Season 1. Perfectly believable "what if", beautifully intertwining with canon events.

Shattered Remains by xspike4evax (Spike/Willow, NC-17). Willow’s attempt to re-soul Spike has disastrous results turning her life and Spike’s upside down. Rewrite of Season 3 with some interesting twists (can I just say "The Wish"?).

When You Wish Upon a Bar by rebcake (Buffy/Spike, PG-13). Heartbroken D’Hoffryn grants a wish to equally miserable Spike... This should end well.

A Little Bit of History Repeating by nomelon (Angel/Cordelia/Spike, R). Cordelia wakes up from the coma, loses something of herself and gains an extra vampire in the process. Angst and sassyness ensues.

Dreams and Mirrors by kikimay (Drusilla, R). When was the last time you saw Drusilla-centric longfic? Especially the one where she isn't just the part of the pairing. Well, here it is.

Oh, thanks for the rec! I concur about "In A Corner of My Soul" which just blew me away with its opening chapter. Wow. I'll definitely check out the others, though I am always scared of WIPs — including my own.

Oh, yes. I never doubted that Giles would be a terrific Big Bad, but the way dragonyphoenix is writing him is just... wow!
(And your WIP isn't scary at all, it's cutest and fluffiest WIP ever, I'm pretty sure it even has puppy eyes =)
