Some favorite Faith-centric shortfic from the past year.

The Replacement (Faith, Spike, PG-13) by hello_spikey. Post-Gift AU, where Faith is brought to Sunnydale as a replacement slayer. The story sticks as close to canon as it is possible (well, except for bringing back Lydia the Watcher), especially when it comes to Faith's reaction on being a replacement.

Someday I'll be a real girl by kwritten (Buffy, Faith, PG-13). Season 6 & 7 AU where Buffy tackles her depression through a series of phone calls to a crisis hotline, but finds that the only person she can really talk to is another Slayer.

Down Memory Lane by snickfic (Dawn/Faith, R). All Dawn knows is Faith went on a memory walk, and now she's freaked. And I just love the way how Faith (and snickfic) deals with the false memories.


Grant Me The Serenity by beer_good_foamy (Faith/Evil!Cordelia, PG-13). Things don’t go quite as planned when Faith goes up against the Beast and Angelus, and Cordelia finds herself alone with an unrepentant Slayer out for blood. Luckily, Cordelia knows how to improvise.


Comeback (the Where You Once Belonged remix) by velvetwhip (Faith, Willow, NC-17). Amazing character study of Faith in season 3. Just when you think you've got it all under control, the sound of someone's laughter takes you right back to where you never wanted to be.

And, as a bonus item, there is terrific Faith & Giles story On This Side of Goodbye by dragonyphoenix, that I already recced in another post. Just in case you haven't read it already.
