Some episode-related meta from the past year.

Lie to Me by gillo. Despite the title, it's “Lies My Parents Told Me” meta, and it's brilliant.

BtVS 3.12 "Helpless" meta by local_max. In-depth analysis, exploring aspects that I never even thought about. For instance, fairytale tropes that were used in the episode.

I Robot, You Jane meta by sunclouds33. This essay made me to rewatch the episode and it really means a lot, given that it's my least favorite episode of the show.

Hush essay by trainsinanime discussing what exactly made episode so great, with a nice detour about communication issues on tumblr. (It makes sense, believe me.)

"The Gift" Review by Shangel. The most beautiful episode tribute from one of the best buffyverse reviewers, should I say more?

If they ever make this a required topic for the German Abitur (final exam) again, I strongly recommend putting Hush on the required watching/reading list. And possibly dropping everything else.

Thanks for the shoutout! I read Local_Max's meta on Helpless before and just adored it. That Tumblr piece on Hush was very good, especially the digression into communication on Tumblr. It lent the essay very current freshness.
