I haven't got an artistic bone in my body, so I'm always in awe of anyone who can produce art of this quality. They are all gorgeous, but 'My Soul to Keep' is especially breathtaking.

I'm making my own list for the year and was about to add your wonderful Loki poster that I so loved when I remembered...not Buffyverse. Damn.

I'm tickled to see your gift to me here, sweetie and because it was inspired by the fact that new people are entering fandom, I thought of your in my recent conversations to another newbie and fantastic artist, double_dutchess - my turn to be the fandom ambassador to her. Thank you for including my BoTN poster here! I'm so glad it spoke to you (and oh, that's why your librarian commented on my LJ post. Coolness.)

I can actually claim for once I've seen all of these wonderful works this year, and being included in this company of artists is an honor. Every one else on this list has been a huge influence on me as artists, mentors and friends.

And the works by Megan and chasingdemons hold very special meaning for me. The fact that the poster of mine you've included is one that Megan inspired just makes me all kinds of happy - that it was inspired by her but it speaks to other people as well is awesome.

Thanks a lot for those, I had only seen one of them before. There are still so many works of beauty for me to discover here on LJ, and the Top 5 lists like these really help me a lot!

Last year I did rec posts dedicated just to one writers because they were so prolific - the same could be done with a single artist. Comlodge, teragramm, spikesredqueen...the skies the limit really. it's our fandom and our fandom celebration, sp I say the more posts the better.

More posts often encourages others to do their own posts, or at least that's my impression
