Top 5 dark/dramatic vids from 2014
Jan. 3rd, 2015 03:29 amHello all! I'm really grateful for all the great recs in this community, so it's high time for my first attempt at returning the favour. Here are my Top 5 favourite dark/dramatic vids from 2014.
1. Your Color by
rbfvid. Drusilla is playing games with Giles' mind. A gloriously dark story with a mesmerizing combination of the song and the images. It shows that
rbfvid not only excels at lighthearted vids (they could form a Top 5 all by themselves) but also at dramatic ones.
2. We Want War by Afterthebattle. An epic ensemble vid that will make your heart beat faster.
3. Spike One Good Day by Pinkly Smooth. Fool for Love episodic vid with gorgeous colouring, very effective use of voice-overs and generally brilliantly edited.
4. Who Are You Really? Angel by A Slayer In The TARDIS. Excellent Angel character tribute vid.
5. Seven Devils by Afterthebattle. A look at all the devils Buffy faced throughout the seasons. Another example of Afterthebattle's great talent.
(Originally my Top 5 included What If I Came Knocking by LittleHeaven Fanvids; a non-fluffy look at Spike and Buffy's relationship. It was posted on YouTube in 2014, but I just found out that it's actually a much older vid, so I had to drop it.)
