That's just shocking! Now I'm really happy I posted these, because everybody should read 'em. Even people who don't necessarily ship Spander, which is not my usual cuppa.

Honestly, I don't even recognize the authors, and I was a big Spander fan for quite a while there. I've shifted more to Giles/Ethan since then but that's not how I missed these. I think they predate my awareness of fanfic.

So thanks. I'd hate to have missed out on the classics. ;-)

Heh. The commenter above you hadn't read ANY of them! These are definitely classics, and if your tastes run to the comedic, you'd be hard-pressed to have missed 'em in all these years.

P.S. I went pretty far back to see if these had been recc'ed here anytime recently…and not so much, to my surprise. It was definitely time.

You're in for a treat. It's a series and not all of it is funny, but enough of it is — or at least those are the parts I remember most — that it wasn't much of a stretch to put it on this list. Of course, there are hundreds of funny Spander fics out there, but these feel like classics to me.
