Thwarted in his efforts to hold on to the Gem of Amara, Spike opts to go visit with an old friend, leading to some unsettling discoveries. Pity Us We Wakeful– Angel/Willow/Spike from Velvetwhip (Gabrielle) I believe that this is the one story in all of fandom that had the greatest affect on me. Bleak, tragic and beautifully written, it’s about the compromises we make, and how painful they can be. It’s greatest impact is that nothing really bad happens – no tragic event – it all takes place in choices people make and the half-life they live because of them.

I'm always on a look out for good stories. I have read so many good and many not so good. I love stories where there is a good plot line and lengthy. Not really interested in explicit erotic but will read if the plot is worth it. I'm most interested in fics with Spike in the main role. I started reading Supernatural fan fic recently so especially love the crossover you shared especially since it's main roles in it is Dean and Spike, my most fav characters. So if you have any suggestions I'm interested. :)

i don't read a lot of crossovers as well but if the story is possibly (meaning has a good start) well written than I'll give it a go. I agree Spike and Dean are awesome together. I'll have to check out your link. Thanks. :)
