5 Stories that Diverge from canon
Nov. 2nd, 2014 12:40 am1. In James' and Wolfling's Sands of Time series, Xander avoids a beating at home by showing up on Giles' doorstep. His life diverges from there.
2. Liz Marcs is part of either the first or second waves of authors I discovered when I stared reading fanfic. A Gift of Ordinary Magic, a crossover with Harry Potter, contains two non-canon verses, one with magic and the other without. To save his friends, Xander has to keep magic from fading away. Nice, heartwarming story.
3. One of the verses in Aadler's Dusk Over Pompeii isn't canon but oh my Goddess it should be. He does a wonderful job of conveying a fascinating premise, which I can't divulge because it's a slow reveal.
4. A haunted car. A Xander. A very funny drabble. Khriskin's Four Wheels and a Prayer.
5. Last but far from the least, Lyl's In Another Life. I can't quite call it an AU because it's post-series if you discount the comics, but on the other hand I'm certain canon was never going to include Willow dating Don Eppes from Numb3rs.
