whiskyinmind is small and beautifully formed. It’s a terrific look inside Faith’s head and just oozes regret and mighthavebeens.
entrenous88 made a welcome return to our sandbox with the very gorgeous Away From the Numbers. Spike runs into Xander unexpectedly and discovers that the donut boy has grown up – and how… This has everything I want in a S/X fic – it’s hot, the boys are grown up and each chapter had me rushing to read what happened next.
baudown’s Upon a Stick finds crazy Spike in the school basement. Buffy finds him. The rhythm of the writing just pulls you into the chaos of his memories and madness. I thought this one was pretty special.
thismaz doesn’t really write in BTVS anymore and she never writes angst. I’m glad she came back to our corner last year and broke her rule because otherwise we wouldn’t have Exodus. In the aftermath of The Gift, Spike and Xander are leaving town. This one just kills me.
Finally, In Days of Auld Lang Syne byvelvetwhip. Ten years after the fall of Sunnydale Angel and Willow run into each other in a bar. Gorgeous story telling in a minor key.
