Five Fabulous Fics Featuring Faith

I freely admit to not reading as widely in the fandom as I used to. These days, I tend to stay in my comfort zone, which in my case, means I stick with tried and trusted authors. Very bad of me, and I hope there'll be more posts on the comm featuring new writers. But anyway, my tried and trusted authors are all very good and I don't feel guilty about reccing them repeatedly, so there.

So, five fics featuring Faith, all of them fabulous.

In Remission by quinara, post-series, PG. This was quinara's entry for seasonal_spuffy. Being quinara, though, it's very far from typical Spuffy (if there is such a thing), featuring an older and more careworn Buffy, a Spike who has got himself into a spot of bother (to put it mildly) while trying to be a good citizen (it's all Angel's fault really), and a truly fabulous, not to mention awesome, vampire Faith. I'd so love to see more.



All But Left To Hunger by beer_good_foamyFaith/Drusilla, PG/R. I only just discovered this fic today and am so glad I did. You wouldn't think Faith and Drusilla could have much in common, would you? Turns out they do. And the ending...well, I won't spoil it. Angsty.

Au Bois Dormant by brutti_ma_buoni, part of her wonderful Rulesverse series, Faith/Giles PG. In which some magic goes disastrously wrong, and Faith has to save Giles and their son before the enchanted Devils' Bane gets them (and no, true love's kiss is not gonna do it).

I'll Always Opt To Fall Down These Stairs, by beer_good_foamy (and what's more, I have more BGF stories to rec if someone else doesn't do it first), Buffy/Faith PG. I can't describe this fic any better than BGF has done himself, as follows: One light Slayer and one dark, one good and one bad, one goes to heaven and one to... Well anyway, for all sorts of reasons, Detroit was just about the last place Buffy expected to run into Faith. With or without wings. The complete opposite of angsty.

Finally, a nice surprise just after Christmas, a new story from rebcake for this year's noel_of_spike, Midwinter Plunge, PG. In which Spike, in his Lindsey-induced helping the helpless phase in AtS season 5, bumps into Faith, who tells him a few home truths.
