5 Apocafics

Because I love them.  And they're not all Spander.  But some are.

1. Babylon, by Tabaqui.  Richly detailed, original world.  The language and imagery are beautiful.  This story always gives me a pang.


2. The Weary World Rejoicing, by annakovsky.  Xander's in charge.  Willow is missing.  A Christmas story.  Lovely.

3. Gloryhole, by witling.  Demons are in charge.  Spike runs into Xander.  Beautifully dark.

4. Left Behind, by Devo79.  A haunting story, with spare, precise language that packs a punch.

5. Dark Horse, by wiseacress.  Demons in charge again.  Spike finds a broken Xander.  Dark in the best possible way.

All terrific choices. I recently reread Dark Horse for the first time in years and was blown away all over again about how good it is.

I love apocafics! hee! Read Gloryhole and loved it. Especially Spike arguing with the bouncer guy. Isn't wiseacres the same as witling??

Apocafics are compelling! And yes, witling and wiseacress are the same person. She's also written under the name coquette.
