5 Stories I Wasn't Able to Find
I asked and was told it was okay to post recs for stories I couldn't find the links to. Anyone know where any of these are?
Edited: I'm posting links to the stories as I learn what they are.

1) AtS, a short story I believe. A plague, created by humans I think, has been unleashed on the world. The Hyperion has become something of a safe house, keeping people physically safe from demons if not the plague virus. I think Lorn and some witches hightailed it out of there but were unable to take non-magical humans who wouldn't have survived in the other dimension. Cordelia and two others are sitting on the roof, looking at the sunset maybe. The other two go back in and, once they are out of sight, Cordelia starts showing signs of the plague (coughing?). Then she gets up, squares her shoulders, and goes back down to do the work of the day. Basically hiding the disease from everyone and getting on with the work.


2) BtVS. This story might have multiple chapters. Willow has crossed dimensions to find herself in one where she's in a relationship with Giles. Tara is part of the group in this dimension but does not love Willow. I think it ends with Willow falling for Giles and getting pregnant in a happy-about-it kind of way. Edit: The story I've described here is DragonyDream's Home, but Not Home and it was great to read again. Apparently I'm looking for two stories with this description: in the other Willow had broken a bone and was staying at Giles because she could be there without having to go up and down stairs (guest room on first floor) and they fall for each other over the course of the story. Another Edit: And the second story this was referenceing is also by DragonyDreams: Tumblin' Down.

3) BtVS. Multiple chapters. I might have read this one on fanfiction.net. Willow and Angel (possibly Angelus?) having meetings for coffee. I think it was Angelus and he's sort of courting her but subtly because he knows she thinks he should be with Buffy. Also, if he is Angelus, Willow still thinks he's Angel. Unfinished if I recall. Edit: Coffee and Thoughts as well as Dark Coffee by Lucinda.

4) BtVS. Multiple chapters. At some point in this fic the ensemble, fleeing the Knights of Byzantium, take sanctuary in a convent where the saint is a demon (but a good demon-saint, not an evil demon-saint). There might have been some dimensional hopping but that's all I can recall of this one. Xander-centric I think. Edit: And the winner is Career Change by Two Ladies of Quality.

5) Firefly. One-shot. Jayne and Mal have finished up in a brothel when River comes in, looking for a lover (more permanent, not a quickie). She picks Janye, over Mal, because Jayne is basically more affectionate, braiding his girl's hair in the afterglow while Mal is done and back to being captain. River tells Jayne she'll learn to knit ugly hats for him.

Number Four is part of the Career Change series (http://www.twoladiesofquality.com/career_change.html) by Two Ladies of Quality (aka riani1 on LJ) The last part of Career Change is Glory Night, which is the scene your referring to. They're fleeing Glory, and they take refuge in a convent that has traditionally always given sanctuary to demons fleeing from humanity. There is a saint who was a demon in the chapel, and Xander has a large role in protecting the convent when the Knights show up.

Number 3 is two stories: Coffee and Thoughts (which is complete) and Dark Coffee (which is not). Both are by Lucinda and can be found on fanfiction.net.

Is number 2 Home, But Not Home (http://dragonydreams.livejournal.com/529050.html) by dragonydreams? Some of the details are a bit different than you listed, but the overall concept is pretty close.

Possibly. Willow's being pregnant already does seem familiar, but I seem to recall Willow being in Giles' home. Certainly dragonydreams as the author makes sense. I'm guessing there are two similar stories in my head and I'm mixing them up.

Yeah. I think there was one where Willow broke a bone and was staying at Giles' home and they fell for each other. So yes, you're correct. I'm thinking of that one and also another one. *shakes head and laughs at self*

And I apologize for missing your comment. I'm not sure how that happened. I only noted it because it was listed as a "suspicious comment" which has happened to me too recently. Apparently now two or more links in a comment makes is suspect. *shakes head* Disappointing for me since I link all over the place!

It's perfectly alright. I've noticed that every time I put any kind of link in a comment it's marked as spam. And I'm pretty good at identifying G/W stories. I devour that pairing, and sadly new ones are few and far between. I mean, it's no fun if I'm writing them all!

Geez, I didn't realize they did that with only one link. And I thought two links was unnecessarily harsh!

I'm actually writing a G/W story although it's dark and maybe more of a pre-G/W story. And actually it feels like more of a scene than a story, and since I'm doing NaNo who knows when it'll get done. It was inspreid by Trekker's Nothing Like a Prayer (http://www.hairy-eyeball.com/trekker/trekker_noprayer.html) which pretty much gives away where the story is going to go. ;-) I'm actually writing three version to see which has the most tension. Aaaaand I'll stop babbling now.

Your #5 story sounds like Lit-gal's one-shot "The Interview", in which River asks the whores who've just serviced Mal and Jayne (in front of Mal and Jayne!) how they rate their performances, and then decides Jayne's definitely the better choice for satisfying her needs.
