Top 5 Vids Spike/Buffy

buffyversetop5This was a category which certainly ran the gamut in their approach to the pair. I tried to include a variety of them here because this was a really popular vid topic and the best ones always managed to keep things fresh.
You think that I’m beneath you but you like the things that I do
1. You’re So Real by catatonic1242 - All – The lyrics for this song went particularly well with this duo and the uptempo music helped to glide over some less than pretty aspects of their relationship as well.
I’ll return and fill that space in your heart
2. The Promise by Blondie - All – It seemed to me what this vid captured well is what I often see in S/B fic, the fact that Spike is not one to leave, not one to give up (however much you may want him to at times). Undoubtedly a gentle look at this relationship.
I love the good times that you wreck...I know who you are
3. Figured You Out by Trisha – All – By contrast to #2, an unsentimental look at the violence at the heart of their relationship, and how it powered their attraction.
4. Let all the hurt inside of you die, you’re frozen when your heart’s not open
Frozen by sweetie - All – What I liked about this vid was how well it captured Spike’s POV during S6 when most of Spuffy took place. I like the way she switches between the clearer view of Buffy as she is to the more fuzzy view of her as Spike sees her at the time, to highlight the difference in their positions.
Going to do my very best...if you put me to the test, if you let me try
5. Take a Chance on Me by sdwolfpup - All – Given all the angst in B/S it’s nice to see a vid that takes a lighter view of their relationship. This one reviews their arc quite well.
