1. incasink - If you like slutty!Spike and shy!awkward!Angel, then you too will call this chick the MASTER of the genre. Don't blame me, if you're up all night reading Mainline or Vellum or if you're begging her to write her latest WIP, Honor , faster.

2. pet_23 & angelstart - This duo has the art of collaboration down to a science! For a riveting and sizzling hot read try Bayou Boys or their current WIP Echoes of Darkness, but really just read anything they write (together or with other authors) cuz it's always fabulous.

3. toobusy2write - OK, so she's only written one A/S Human AU that I know of but I dare you to read it and then say that she doesn't belong on this list! I know... I was skeptical at first about reading a prison!fic too, but the trillions of comments on and constant lj pimping of each entry of Bent Justice are hype that should DEFINITELY be believed.

4. felisblanco - She has an AMAZING grasp of these characters and writes sex that will totally steam up your screen :-). The only warning I have is that she likes to walk on the darker side of these characters -even in human form, so keep that in mind. Seriously, if you don't believe me that she's amazing, start with Closer or Differences aside. I'll eat my hat if you don't wind up -at least- peeking at every story she's ever written (which she has neatly archived at this post) .

5. salustra - She often co-writes with different people (each fic/part is clearly labeled, so I'm not going to bother listing her co-authors here) but, as each piece is as hot as the last, I'm just going to place her here alone. If you want to read some of the hottest A/S scenes I've seen all year, check out Some Kind of Wonderful. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

ETA: I just HAD to edit this post because I forgot 2 must read authors and had to restructure the list, so here are 2 Honorable Mentions:

angelspike69 - Here is a true visionary of hottness, who's work can be appreciated/shared by all. Unexpected Reunion and its sequel Second Time Around are great examples of her work.

stolen_childe should have been on this list for her awesome fic Midlife, but its her only A/S Human AU so far and it it's still a WIP. Still, I had to give a shout-out to let everyone know to check out this story cuz it rocks and she's definitely a rising star!

Great list! toobusy2write's Bent Justice is so addictive isn't it? And amazing props to her for writing such a long fic too. Entertaining all the way through :)

Judging by the heavy commentary and pimpage, I expect to see it on lots and lots of lists :-)

If you're not super attached to Top!Angel (I like him that way too), definitely check out anything by #1 and the Honorable Mention, which is probably the fic that I'm most jazzed about currently (I don't think many people know about it yet, but I think they'd like it if they did).

Don't worry your pretty little head. Chapter 9 is ready to be posted this weekend. I'm eithr going to post it Friday night (tomorrow) or Saturday morning. I just got Chapter 10 back from our beta and sent it off to Lori to review the edits. Then it will be ready to post the following weekend. I'm hoping to start Chapter 11 tonight, if all goes well and I don't get too distracted.

But I have things to make for my 2nd posting date over at winter_of_angel. What it's going to be, I haven't a clue. I'm hoping for one thing to be a Spangel video..I think I found a perfect song for them -- "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word". You remember that song? I have a new version by Clay Aiken that I love. It's on his newest album. When I heard it tonight, I automatically thought of Spangel.
