Top 5 most inspiring pieces of Art

Maybe you've already seen them, or perhaps not, but these are 5 of the pieces that struck me as particularly georgeous, innovative, and made me wish for more talent with photoshop.

Faith Wallpaper
Artist:  letsey_x  and artwork journal post
Why do I love it?  letsey_x  has an incredible eye, plays wonderfully with color, shape and shadow.  Every one of the pieces is unique, with great style, but this particular wall struck me as totally appropriate for Faith's character.

Darker Faith Banner
Artist:  bittersweet_art  and artwork journal myhearts_atart
Why do I love it?  bittersweet_art  is one of the most imaginative and effective texture users I've come across. 

3.
Buffy Icon Set
Artist: violetion  and artwork journal _sinelinea
Why do I love them?  violetion OWNS the 100x100 pixel icon space.  Seriously.  I've never seen someone do so much with such small and perfectly clear pics.

4.
Spike and Dru Icon
Artist: 50thousandtearz  and artwork journal ___tomorrow  (original icon post here)
Why do I love it?  There's something absolutely magnificent in the simple black and white moment, and the cropping is divine, and captures the two of them so well that I fell in love.

5.
Gunn as an Angel manip
Artist: sueworld2003  and artwork journal sueworld_art
Why do I love it? Sue is one of the most talented mannippers I've seen out there, and every time she posts something I'm in awe of the clean lines.  She creates perfect matches with everything she does.  This particular piece struck me because, although it's simple, it's got a quiet beauty that's simply breathtaking.

it's so funny how the simple and quick ones can grab ... i'm sure someone's done a psychological study about iconagraphy with that in mind (but i'm willing to leave it at: pretty! sparkly!)
