My Top Five Drabblers of 2005

open_on_sunday has to be one of my favourite places in the fandom so I just wanted to thank all the people who put in such a great deal of effort and hard work there.

And thus, I've decided on my Top 5 Drabblers for 2005, listed alphabetically.

Always high quality, great character voices of specifically Faith, Darla, Drusilla or Spike and usually quite humourous too.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a listing of all her drabbles, but please take a look through open_on_sunday.
cornerofmadness produces an extraordinary volume of drabbles each and every week. I particularly enjoy her Spike/Dru, Connor, Angel and Darla drabbles, but she is often able to drabble any character and a great variety of 'ships with ease and enjoyment for the reader.

myfeetshowit is extraordinarily creative and innovative with the subject matter and style of each drabble. I particulary enjoy how myfeetshowit can convince on unusual pairings like Dawn/Illyria and Clem/Lorne in the space of 100 words.

Each week redwolfoz writes from the Londonverse, a collection of stories building to create a larger story in itself. redwolfoz creates and sets the mood so well each for the drabbles, that we are right inside enjoying the hijinks of Spike, Andrew, Dawn, various newbie slayers and a fair amount of demon goo.

I'm always impressed at how zandra_x uses the prompt so creatively each week at OOS. Often she will take a character I hardly remember and create an entirely convincing story. Her Justine drabbles are particularly intense and gripping.

I really agree. It helps try out new characters or pairings that you might never have written or explore plot bunnies or themes and styles. World of possibilities.
