5 Classic Season Four Buffy/Spike Fics

To finish off the early season S/B love, here are some S4 era fics.

Achilles Heel, by Elizabeth - I'm fairly certain this has been recced at Buffyverse Top 5 before, but it's always been one of my favorites. Buffy and Spike are cursed.



Smoke & Mirrors, by Rikki_Oko - Buffy and Spike go to a carnival.

Do You Believe?, by Rebcake - Magic gets Buffy into a lot of trouble in S4, doesn't it?

Boomerang, by Shadowlass - Spike realizes that Adam isn't really going to help him get rid of the chip, so he changes his plan.

Gloomy Little Tomb With No View, by Lady Anne - An alternate take on "Harsh Light of Day", in which Buffy and Spike find themselves stuck together while they're both still reeling from bad break-ups.

And a bonus S4 story, though it's not Spike/Buffy: Fire & Stuff, by Valerie X - Set some time after "Restless", Spike runs into Dawn on the streets of Sunnydale.

Oooo... there are a few in that list I don't think I've read, but "Achilles Heel" remains one of my all time favorite Buffy fics. So good!

It's one of my all time favorites too, and I wish she had written more! I know a she wrote a couple of other short fics as well, set in S5, but I have not been able to find them. I think they were more like episode tags, and not stand-alone stories like this one.

If I were doing a S6 list, Super Food World would be on it, because it's one of my all time favorites too! I do enjoy Fire & Stuff though, it always makes me laugh.
