1) Episode Notes by
2maggie2, Strudel and
local_max: These episode notes are a joy to read. Those three dig deep into the series and speak of foreshadowing. My favorite part is the focus on the Scooby dynamic -Buffy, Xander, and Willow- and how complex and realistic this friendship is.
2) Season Eight Reviews by
local_max:
local_max is one of the bestest joys I've known in 2010. His reviews are insightful, his objective tone is a nice change, his open-ness and positive S8 voice always brings a smile to my face.
3)
buffyquestions created by
tabitha666 and
pamsblau: Technically it was created on 2009-12-27, but those four days in 2009 don't count. The community's greatest contributions were all in 2010. Great polls and questions that provoked discussions and more knowledge about the whedonverse.
4) Episode Poll by
gabrielleabelle: Every Tuesday,
gabrielleabelle starts a poll about a Buffy episode asking a handful of questions and starting great discussions between fans. A lot of insightful debates can be found in her posts.
5) Cultural Catchup by Myles McNutt: "Cultural Learnings’ Cultural Catchup Project is a long-term endeavour designed to catch up on a number of important television series that for various reasons have slipped under my radar." The author just started catching up with BtVS in 2010. It's gonna be awesome reading the reviews of a Buffy newbie. (Thanks to
menomegirl for the link.)
