Title: Lonely No More

Why I chose this: Angel and Spike are the only survivors of the alley and they move to a small town to live a "normal life". Love the way how the vamps start getting closer when they have to live together, even with their differences. The small town scenario gives a bucolic atmosphere and it's a very enjoyable reading from the start until the end.


Title: Ten Thousand Miles

Why I chose this: After the big battle, Spike finds himself alone, shanshued and broken. But Angel isn't dead afterall and the journey to put the vamps together again is thrilling. It's very interesting to see how Spike reacts as human, being suddenly so vunerable and without a reason to live. Absolutely brilliant.

Why I chose this: This time, Angel becomes human after the battle. He goes to the new Watcher Council to help in the good fight as he can while dealing with his humanity. We have snarky Spike, of course, and Buffy. But not a threesome, hehe. Ah, and Connor and Angel interaction. Oh, and I can't forget the hotness ;-). I guess this fic was listed already, but I had to put it my list. Just terrific!!!

Why I chose this: Everyone is gone, but Angel, well, and Illyria. He has a chance to bring Spike back and unexpected things happen. Great characters voices and it's impossible don't be hooked at the very first chapter. There is a sequel called "Love By Numbers" in the same forum.

What a varied list of fics, and isn't that great when you've narrowed it down to post-NFA and Spike/Angel?! :)
I haven't read any of these (er, except one) and they all sound very interesting. It's interesting too to get people's take on the whole shanshu issue, and there seems to be differing opinions here too.

Me either. Gotta have the tension cuz it leads to misunderstandings and angst, which then leads to the hot vampire sex and the biting. Love the hot vampire sex and the biting. I always seem to bring that into my AU Human fics, because you know it's Angel and SPike. Can't have them without alluding to the biting and the hot sex. I even manage to work in some plot while I'm at it (lol).
